GOSTER Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose of the Service

GOSTER provides automated document compliance checks and full formatting to GOST, ESKD, internal requirements and templates.

The Service performs technical processing of document formatting. It does not provide educational, legal, scientific, editorial or expert services and does not assess document content.

2. Account and access

Users must provide a valid email address, must not share their password or account access with third parties, and must promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

The User is responsible for actions taken through their account until the Operator is notified that the account has been compromised.

3. Document upload rules

The User confirms that they are entitled to upload the document and authorise its processing by the Service.

• malicious files, software or materials that disrupt the Service;
• documents containing special categories of personal data or biometric personal data;
• state secrets, trade secrets without the necessary rights, or other legally protected information;
• materials that violate third-party rights, the laws of the Russian Federation or generally accepted business practices.

The User must keep their own copy of the original document. After results are delivered, the document is stored for no longer than one month.

4. Permitted use

Users may use the Service only for lawful purposes and within the functionality provided.

• circumvent technical restrictions, safeguards or Service limits;
• attempt to access other users’ accounts, data or infrastructure;
• decompile, modify, copy or distribute the Service’s source code, except where expressly permitted by law;
• use automated tools that impose excessive load on the Service without the Operator’s written consent;
• present the Service’s results as an expert opinion of the Operator.

5. Processing results

The Service aims to align document formatting with the selected standard or template. Users must independently review the result before using or submitting the document.

The Operator does not guarantee acceptance by any university, organisation, publisher or compliance reviewer and is not responsible for content, accuracy, scientific merit, originality, plagiarism, correctness of source data or requirements not provided to the Service.

6. Measures in the event of violations

The Operator may restrict or suspend access, remove malicious materials and request explanations where there are signs of a breach of this Policy, a security threat, a legal violation or infringement of third-party rights.

If a restriction results from a technical error, the Operator takes reasonable steps to restore access after the error is resolved.
